Repair of pitting on FORT VALE valves
Improper handling of the FORT VALE bottom valve can cause pitting of the stainless steel at the discharge cone when cleaned or dried too fast. The effect of such pitting is that the valve will not close properly and will thus leak.

The cone is machined or cut open and then turned to size in the same angle. What is important is that the bottom valve is not deformed during welding as this could destroy the valve completely.

Like all parts, the valves are electro-polished after reworking.

This saves customer costs, since there is no need to purchase a new valve.
